About us:

We are a group of Christians from diverse backgrounds who unite around the gospel to go out and share the Good News of Jesus on campus.

We meet weekly on a Tuesday evening to be encouraged in evangelism at Oxford Brookes and to be equipped in order to go and share the gospel.

There are lots of events that we put on during the year including a Christmas Carol Service at Christ Church Cathedral and a week of events in February as well as plenty of opportunities to explore the Christian faith in other regular events throughout the year.

Our mission statement:

"To give every student at Oxford Brookes University the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ. "

What we believe

We believe in God, who is sovereign over creation and made us to be in relationship with Him. It is by our own sinful actions and rejection of God that we have been separated from Him. We believe in the Good News of Jesus Christ and his life, death and resurrection which promises us new life in right relationship with God and want to share this with all students at Oxford Brookes.

To us, this is the best news in the world and would love to encourage you to investigate these claims more. We would love to support you in either growing in your own relationship with God or in exploring in Christianity more.

Testimonies:

Benet -

"I’ve just graduated from Brookes, where I studied English Literature & Music. I was involved in lots of things at Uni, but without a doubt, being part of the CU was the absolute highlight, and the thing I’ll miss most.
Not only did I meet some incredible people and make friends-for-life, but the opportunities to invite friends along to events where they could hear about Jesus were just amazing.
Highlight: seeing 800 students packed into the Cathedral for the carol service: belting out carols, sipping mulled wine, munching mince pies and hearing about the true meaning of Christmas, some for the very first time.
If you’re starting at Brookes and you’d call yourself a follower of Jesus, please get involved - the CU would love to welcome you, encourage you and equip you to go to your friends with the gospel."
